All methodologies are so far available in Czech language only. If you are interested in detailed information, you can use the contact form or write to Kateřina Berchová-Bímová (berchova@fzp.czu.cz).
METHODOLOGY I.: Monitoring ohrožení zájmových lokalit invazními nepůvodními druhy (Berchová-Bímová, K. et al. 2019)
This methodology is mainly intended for environmental agencies and other land managers, such as regional authorities and owners, who are obliged to prevent and manage the introduction and spread of invasive alien species (IAS). The methodology provides instructions on monitoring risk prevention of invasive alien species for the locality of interest. The manual describes a general approach to targeted monitoring and subsequent solutions with specific approaches for selected groups of invasive plant and animal species. The manual also shows the possibility of using the Geoportal of invasive alien species (GEOPINS) and prediction maps which are published there. Technical details used for prediction map construction and modelling are included.
METHODOLOGY II.: Hodnocení efektivity likvidace invazních druhů rostlin (Berchová-Bímová, K. et al. 2019)
This methodology is mainly intended for environmental agencies and other land managers, such as regional authorities and owners, who are obliged to prevent and manage the introduction and spread of invasive alien species (IAS). The manual provides instructions for planning and implementation of IAS control project. Specific steps are described from the pre-project phase (planning and status quo) to the targets and their evaluation. In particular, factors are described influencing the targets statement, subsequent control targets, and their evaluation using indicators. The indicators show the level of the fulfilment of objectives. Evaluation of a whole project depends on the level of fulfilment of objectives and serve as the control project effectivity evaluation. IAS species projects often require long-term commitment, so the methodology contains suggested timescales for control projects for particular species leading to eradication. Finally, there is a step-by-step guide for IAS control project planning, incorporating prevention via reducing pathways, IAS detection, response action, control, and a restoration plan.
Conceptually, the methodology is based on the Methodology of mapping and monitoring of invasive (selected non-native) species (Pergl et al. 2016) and the Methodology of monitoring the threat of interesting localities by invasive non-native species (Berchová-Bímová et al. 2019) and is based on the Standards for the care of nature and landscape - Liquidation selected invasive plant species (Pergl et al. 2016).
METHODOLOGY III.: Příručka pro zpracování a hodnocení projektů k likvidaci invazních druhů rostlin (Pergl, J. et al. 2022)
This material serves the applicant to prepare and implement project documentation (PD) of The Operational Programme Environment (OPE) projects administered in the form of simplified reporting methods and to check the management of invasive species after the end of the project and the state of the site during the subsequent sustainability of the project.
The manual applies to the following species:
Ailanthus altissima
Ambrosia artemisiifolia
Asclepias syriaca
Heracleum mantegazzianum
Impatiens glandulifera
Reynoutria spp.
